the night
before the big RUFA event in düsseldorf we got together in our store to watch the new
patagonia trailrunning movie “run to the source".
in the film
we meet martin johnson. a black trail runner from the uk who is attempting to
set a new fkt record (fastest known time) on the 296 km thames path. with his
personal story and this endurance challenge, martin aims to inspire the trail
running and outdoor community, improve the representation of black people in
this community and make it more inclusive.
the film
also explores the colonial history of the united kingdom and the special connection
between the black population in the uk and the thames.
